Terming the Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal an epitome of lies, the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Punjab Assembly, Partap Singh Bajwa on Tuesday said that Kejriwal used his political master Anna Hazare to take political advantage. "Anna Hazare once on record said that he cannot even dream of Kejriwal swindling funds from liquor," Bajwa added.
In a statement, Bajwa also urged the voters of Delhi to vote the AAP out of power and choose the Indian National Congress, which is the only and the best option for the people of Delhi. He also lashed out at Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for leaving the Punjab and Punjabis in the lurch to campaign for Delhi elections. "Punjab's nero (Mann) has been fiddling while the Punjab has been burning. Punjab has been shaken up by blasts in the border areas, and the CM earlier left for Australia to witness a cricket match, and now he is busy campaigning for Delhi elections," Bajwa added.
The Senior Congress Leader held both Bharatiya Janata Party-led Union and Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab governments for their complete inefficiency in maintaining law and order in the border belt. "All the blasts took place in the border belt of Punjab. However, the Border Security Force (BSF) now exercises its power within 50 km jurisdiction of the fence while the Punjab Police is responsible for ensuring law and order in the entire state," Bajwa stated.
The Qadian Legislator said that the inefficacy of Punjab's Home Department, which is being held by the CM Bhagwant Mann, can be gauged from the fact that it has yet to trace the dismissed DSP Gursher Singh, who facilitated the interview of dreaded gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. "Ever since the AAP assumed power in the state, the Punjabis have lost the sense of security. Neither precious lives nor property is safe in Punjab. Punjabis have been left at the mercy of god by the AAP government," Bajwa added.
