Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta, while talking to the media persons on Tuesday outside the State Assembly, today revealed some details of the matriculation paper leak case. He said that 10 people have been arrested including all the main accused involved in this case.
Gupta said that while unloading the paper from the truck, a question was removed by hitting it with a blade and made viral.
The DGP said that in fact, the police investigation has revealed that some of the labourers who were employed to take the question papers from the truck to the strong room were students. The same students made some question papers disappear. "The question papers were sent to different areas through these people. The police have arrested these students by raiding New Barganda in Giridih on Tuesday. On the information given by the arrested students, the police reached the strong room and took stock of the entire situation," he added.
Koderma police have detained 6 students from Giridih Nagar police station area on Tuesday. Actually, the police had received information that many suspects in the paper leak case are living in Giridih. Based on this information, the police raided two houses in New Barganda of Giridih police station area early in the morning.
The students detained were studying in Giridih. One of the detained students, Kamlesh, had sold the tenth board question paper to many people before the examination and earned Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000. Koderma police has taken 6 students with them. This raid was led by Koderma SDPO Anil Singh.
At the same time, the DGP has said that the Koderma SP has done a great job in solving this entire case.
Gupta also held a meeting through video conferencing from the police headquarters on Monday regarding the matriculation exam paper leak case. He had given necessary guidelines to the officers investigating the entire matter in Koderma district. He had instructed officials to understand the entire process of transporting question papers from JAC to the examination centre, so that it could be found out where the paper leak took place.
