The mysterious death of Dr Richa Pandey, a young woman doctor from Bhopal, has taken a shocking turn with her father leveling serious allegations against her husband, Dr. Abhijeet Pandey.
Richa’s father, Vinod Chandra Pandey, accused her husband of running a sex racket through his clinic, claiming that most of the visitors were eunuchs. He alleged that Abhijeet neglected regular patients and focused solely on his illicit activities. According to him, Richa had uncovered these suspicious dealings and was planning to expose the truth, but she was killed before she could act.
Pandey further claimed that Abhijeet had been pressuring his daughter for a dowry of ?3 crores under the pretext of buying a house. He alleged that Richa faced constant harassment due to their refusal to meet these demands. He also stated that Abhijeet would frequently disappear for days without informing anyone, adding to the family’s concerns about his behavior.
Recalling his final conversation with Richa, Pandey revealed that just before her death, she had sent a PIN code to her brother Himanshu. This code was later found to be the password to her mobile phone. Suspicion grew deeper when none of Richa’s in-laws attended her funeral, and Abhijeet went into hiding immediately after her death. The police eventually took him into custody for questioning.
Expressing further doubts, Pandey questioned the authenticity of Abhijeet’s medical qualifications. He alleged that Abhijeet’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree might be fake and that he had been posing as a dermatologist. Despite being a dentist, he reportedly practiced in areas such as skin and hair treatment at his clinic.
These explosive allegations have added a new layer of complexity to the investigation into Richa’s death. Her father firmly believes that Abhijeet’s actions and illicit activities played a direct role in her tragic demise.
The police are currently investigating the matter from multiple angles. They are awaiting further evidence from the postmortem report while continuing to record statements from the family and other key witnesses.
