A case of assault on an employee has been reported at the Best Price store located near People's Mall, Bhopal<. An employee of the store alleged that the manager abused him for a mere 10-minute delay and assaulted him up fiercely when he protested. In the attack, his nose was hit with a heavy object, causing serious injury.
The victim, employee Uma Shankar Chaurasia resident of Shiv Nagar, Vidisha Road, works in marketing at Best Price. He said that manager Gulab Singh often used to be rude about the target and made him work for longer hours even after the shift was over. On Saturday, he was abused for arriving a little late and was beaten up when he protested.
After the assault, Uma Shankar was forcibly thrown out in a bloody condition. He reached the hospital and got treatment and then lodged a complaint with Nishatpura police.
Manager Gulab Singh also lodged a complaint with the police accusing Uma Shankar of assault. According to TI Rupesh Dubey, a dispute has also come up between the two parties regarding salary.
