Football tournament for Road Safety Awareness in Lohardaga

According to statistics, about 178000 people are dying tragically in road accidents across the country, which includes 65 percent of people in the age group of 18 to 35 years, which is very painful. Road safety committee member Sanjay Varman said the above things. He said that even in Lohardaga district, people are losing life and property due to road accidents every day. Many families are also being ruined and for this we will have to wake up ourselves. Drunk and drive, wearing helmet-seat belt, immediately reaching the hospital for the injured and being a good citizen, over speeding, triple riding, rough driving, minor drivers, giving way to the ambulance and fire vehicle, always walking on the left, using mobile while driving. National Road Safety Committee is running many programs to bring the road safety rules like avoidance, use of indicators etc. among the common people and especially the youth. Under the Road Safety Month, various programs like morning rally, street play, pamphlet distribution etc. are being organized by the District Road Safety Committee among the students and in the same series, Junior and Senior Football Tournament is being organized in the ground of village Taku of Kudu with the help of Jangbaaz Club. A grand event was organised. In which teams from Lohardaga and Ranchi also participated. In which teams from Itki, Tamad, Chanho, Nadia Hostel, Kairo, Umri, Kujra, Bagha, Taku, Birajpur, Chatakpur, Lohardaga, Banduva, Ronia etc. demonstrated their sports. In which Kujra team was the winner and Young Warrior was the runner. Whereas in Junior, Kairo defeated Kudu. Man of the Series was Ankit Oraon of Young Warrior. The man of the match was Anreet Oraon of Kujra, the title of best player went to Ashmit, Manish, Bihari and Sindhu and all other teams were honored with consolation prizes. On the other hand, people were made aware of the rules of road safety by organizing a kite competition at Lohardaga Collectorate ground. 120 students aged between 18 to 25 years participated in this competition and showed the wonders of their Jauhar. The committee had made arrangements for kites and Manjha Latai for everyone. In this competition, Amit Kumar was awarded the first prize and Wahid Ansari was awarded the second price. Motor vehicle inspector Gautam Gaurav, DRSM Amriteshwar Giri, committee member Sanjay Burman, REA Krishna Kumar Gupta, traffic incharge Shiv Shankar Marandi, Dular Kujur, Sushil Kumar played an important role in the successful organization of these programs.
