Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sharply reacted over the development and called the action as a part of "rotten system". "Their leaders openly distribute money, sarees, blankets, gold chains etc., get fake votes made, yet not even an FIR is registered. But an FIR is immediately registered against Chief Minister Atishi ji,"Kejriwal said.
He further said that the AAP is fighting against the entire system."This rotten system has to be changed and cleaned together with the people. Both BJP and Congress are part of the same rotten system,"Kejriwal said.
Attacking his rival, BJP’s candidate from Kalkaji Ramvir Singh Bidhuri showcased a video alleging that Atishi violated the MCC by using PWD vehicles to transport her election campaign materials. The video shows BJP official Sardar K.S. Duggal catching the act.
Bidhuri accused the ruling party’s candidates across Delhi of misusing government resources in a similar manner. Referring to the vehicle used, he added, “Our officials caught the PWD vehicle used by Atishi for transporting her private campaign materials.”
Bidhuri demanded a clarification from Atishi regarding the misuse of government resources. Following this incident, the Delhi BJP’s election liaison team submitted a complaint to the Election Commission, which confirmed the allegations after investigation, leading to an FIR. He demanded that Ms. Atishi withdraw her nomination and resign from her position.
