Thousands participated in a grand marathon held in the state capital on Sunday morning. Bollywood actor Vidyut Jamwal joined the event not only as a participant but also to motivate and inspire the runners.
The marathon aimed to promote fitness, sportsmanship, and community spirit, with people of all ages—from children to senior citizens—taking part.
Jamwal arrived in Bhopal late on Saturday night and was greeted by enthusiastic fans at the airport and at Hotel Jehan Numa. His presence added excitement to the event, drawing even more spectators.
The marathon was held in four categories. The 42-kilometre race started at 5:00 AM, followed by the 21-kilometre race at 6:30 AM, the 10-kilometre race at 7:00 AM, and finally, the 6-kilometre race at 7:30 AM.
Participants ran through the scenic streets of Bhopal, passing by the Upper Lake and finishing at TT Nagar Stadium.
The event was attended by Bhopal MP Alok Sharma, Minister Vishwas Sarang, Mayor Malti Rai, and Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi. The marathon was a celebration of fitness and community, with runners crossing the finish line with pride.
