A case of molestation and harassment was reported in Piplani area, where a class 10 girl student was targeted by an engineering student named Ajay Gupta who befriended the 17-year-old victim on Instagram gained her trust and forced her into physical relations without her consent in his rented room in Indrapuri.
The harassment didn’t end there; Ajay continued to molest her multiple times, threatening to defame her to keep her silent.
The matter remained hidden until the girl’s health suddenly deteriorated. For two days, she suffered from persistent stomach pain, prompting her family to rush her to a hospital where doctors revealed that the girl was pregnant.
Following this revelation, the hospital informed the authorities, and the Baghsewania police team promptly arrived to record the girl’s statement.
The victim, a resident of a colony in the Baghsewania area, narrated her ordeal to the police. She explained how her friendship with Ajay Gupta began on Instagram, leading to phone conversations and chats.
