The District Coordination Committee meeting was held on Wednesday at the Collectorate Auditorium, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav. The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Girija Shankar Prasad, DRDA Director Menka, Additional Collector Md. Mumtaz Ansari, SDO Chas Pranjal Dhanda, SDO Bermo Mukesh Machua, and various district-level officials from relevant departments.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of various schemes. She directed the completion of 152 Anganwadi centers, of which 118 are finished while 34 are under construction, by January 31, 2025. Additionally, she instructed planting at least five fruit-bearing trees on the premises of each center.

While reviewing the Abua Awas Yojana, the Deputy Commissioner expressed dissatisfaction with the low number of master rolls generated under MGNREGA. She emphasized the importance of generating master rolls to create man-days, ensuring the beneficiaries' "Right to Work" is fulfilled. She also instructed imposing penalties on block-level officials for non-compliance.

Regarding the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, the Deputy Commissioner discussed the gap in 6,371 application forms with District Education Officer Jagarnath Lohra and directed immediate resolution. She stressed the importance of covering 100% of eligible girls under the scheme.

The DC also emphasized the need to provide mid-day meals in schools and Anganwadi centers as per the prescribed menu. She instructed Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Circle Officers (COs) to conduct surprise inspections to ensure compliance.

In the review of welfare schemes, the DC directed the acceleration of payments under the pre- and post-matric scholarship schemes and the organization of special camps for Aadhaar seeding of students' bank accounts.

Assistant Director of Social Security Piyush emphasized the recovery of pension amounts from ineligible and deceased beneficiaries' bank accounts under the Sarvajan Pension Yojana.

Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Jadhav urged all officials to achieve targets and ensure the effective implementation of government schemes.
