Sunday, 23 February 2025 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh, accompanied by BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat,  inspected Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital on Saturday.

According to a press statement issued by the Delhi government, during the inspection, a lot of deficiencies were found in the hospital, for which the Health Minister directed the officials to rectify all the deficiencies within three months. He also directed to construct the new block building of Rao Tula Ram Hospital soon. On this occasion, they met people undergoing treatment in various wards and OPDs of the hospital.  Singh talked about the facilities along with the treatment and got information about the system.

Along with this, instructions were given to focus on good treatment to the patients in the hospital. The Health Minister directed that the patients coming for treatment should get quality treatment. He also directed to further improve the cleanliness in the hospital. Singh reviewed the arrangements for various wards. He wanted to know the reality of the claims being made by the hospital management. He said that health is a priority area for the government. Therefore, any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in providing health facilities to the people.

"Thousands of patients from Delhi come to Rao Tula Ram Hospital for treatment. In such a situation, instructions have been given to make additional arrangements to manage the crowd so that patients and their families do not suffer for getting quality treatment. Apart from this, the hospital administration has been directed to remove the clutters of the hospital and make it a better hospital," read the statement.

The Health Minister took in-depth information about medicine from the doctors and staff of the hospital. He said that the Delhi government will continuously work towards providing quality health services to all the people of Delhi.

Speaking about Mohalla Clinics, Singh said that a detailed report on their conditions will soon be released to ensure transparency in their functioning. "Once I have the report, I will answer all questions regarding the clinics. Without official documents, I cannot make any claims. The report will reveal the actual condition of these clinics and uncover any irregularities in their operation," he said.

BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat said she has directed to purchase an ambulance for the hospital soon from the MP fund. She said that discussions were held with the hospital management and doctors today and added that all necessary steps would be taken to provide all necessary resources at Rao Tula Ram Hospital.
