The second, month-long phase of the Dastak Campaign gets underway in the district on Tuesday to help improve child health and nutrition. The initiative will target children aged nine months to five years, providing them with vital vitamin A doses to enhance immunity.
In addition to vitamin A supplementation, children identified as anaemic during the first phase will undergo further blood tests using digital haemoglobinometers. If necessary, therapeutic management will be provided, including iron supplements for anaemic children.
The campaign, driven by ANMs, ASHAs, and Anganwadi workers, will include door-to-door visits to ensure no child is left behind. District and block-level teams have already been formed to streamline the process and ensure effective outreach.
