The Chief Minister stated this during the unveiling ceremony of Late Atal ji's statue in Morena on Monday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav shared that we have not witnessed the era of Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, or Bhagat Singh, but have had the privilege of seeing Atal ji closely. 'I salute him a hundred times,' he said, describing Vajpayee as a true hero of democracy. Dr. Yadav highlighted Vajpayee's ability to maintain the same integrity and language, whether in the ruling party or the opposition. He credited Vajpayee for elevating India's global stature with the historic nuclear tests in Pokhran, calling him a true son of Mother India.
Vajpayee's 50 years in opposition were marked by his dedication to strengthening democracy and parliamentary traditions. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also quoted Vajpayee's poem, saying, Kya haar mein, kya jeet mein, kinchit nahin bhaybheet mein, sangharsh path par jo bhi mila, ye bhi sahi aur wo bhi sahi'. He recognized Vajpayee's visionary contribution to the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) and Ken-Betwa (KB) river-linking projects, which are now being implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "We congratulate Prime Minister Modi for bringing Vajpayee's vision to life," Yadav said. He announced that under Modi's guidance, a new Rs 70,000 crore water storage campaign has been launched in Madhya Pradesh as part of the river-linking initiative.
On the demand of local public representatives, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced a development fund of Rs. 20 crore for necessary development works in all the villages of 13 Gram Panchayats bordering Morena Municipal Corporation and Rs. 10 crore for electricity pole shifting work in Morena city.
