Deputy commissioner Bokaro Vijaya Jadhav has called for a peaceful and harmonious celebration of Ram Navami, urging officials and citizens to maintain order and communal harmony. During a district-level meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium, she reviewed preparations for the festival and issued key directives to ensure security and smooth conduct of processions.
Jadhav emphasized the importance of peace committee meetings at the block and police station levels and instructed all BDOs, COs, and police officers to remain on high alert. She directed officials to engage with DJ operators and ensure that no objectionable or vulgar songs are played during the festivities. Strict adherence to designated procession routes was mandated, with no alterations allowed.
To enhance security, sensitive areas will be closely monitored using CCTV cameras and drone surveillance. Law enforcement agencies will be deployed strategically to prevent any untoward incidents. The fire and health departments have been placed on high alert, with fire tenders and ambulances stationed at critical points. Hospitals and health centers have been instructed to keep essential medical supplies ready for emergencies.
Jadhav also stressed the importance of social media monitoring to curb misinformation and rumors. She urged the public not to believe in or spread rumors and to report any suspicious activities immediately to local authorities. The administration has assured swift action against any disruptive elements, ensuring a safe and smooth celebration of Ram Navami across the district.
The meeting was attended by superintendent of police (SP) Manoj Swargiary, DRDA director Menka, additional collector M. Mumtaz Ansari, additional municipal commissioner Sanjeev Kumar, Chas sub-divisional officer (SDO) Pranjal Dhanda, Bermo SDO Mukesh Machhua, district transport officer Vandana Shejwalkar, DCLR Prabhash Dutta, police officers, block development officers (BDOs), circle officers (COs), and all police station in-charges. Headquarters DSP Animesh Gupta, city DSP Alok Ranjan, Chas SDPO Praveen Kumar, traffic DSP Vidya Shankar, and other district officials were also present.
