With just eight days left for the highly anticipated Delhi assembly elections, the BJP is holding multiple rallies, public meetings and roadshows amping up its attack on the ruling AAP with the Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal addressing two public meetings on Monday in Krishna Nagar and Dwarka.
Addressing a public meeting in support of candidate Dr. Anil Goyal in Krishna Nagar, Sharma said that the way children, old and young people have died by drowning in water in Delhi last monsoon, it is hard to believe that Delhi is the country's capital. He also claimed, “Every city in our Rajasthan has a better drainage system than this Delhi.”
Moreover, as part of the BJP's intensive campaign for the Delhi Assembly elections, 26 public meetings were organized today, which were addressed by senior BJP leaders including Hardeep Singh Puri, Dr. Sukanto Majumdar, Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Sanjeev Balyan, and Prem Chand Bairwa among others and appealed for a change in power for a developed Delhi.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri addressed public meetings in support of Harish Khurana in Moti Nagar and Umang Bajaj in Rajendra Nagar. He said, “Today under Arvind Kejriwal's misrule, whether poor or rich, everyone is facing drinking water crisis, they are forced to buy water to drink but the sewerage system is not working in these two assembly constituencies, last monsoon there was such waterlogging that four administrative service candidates died untimely. Kejriwal should apologize to the people of Delhi for such chaos.”
Union Minister of State Dr. Sukanto Majumdar addressed a public meeting in support of Dushyant Gautam in Karol Bagh and said that the migrants who have settled in Delhi from other states are ashamed today that the roads and general facilities of their BJP-ruled home states are better than the country's capital.
Northeast Delhi BJP MP Manoj Tiwari addressed public meetings in Badarpur, Tughlakabad, Sangam Vihar and Chhatarpur. Targeting the AAP over mistreatment of Purvanchalis, he said, “The Purvanchal community of Delhi is now fed up with Kejriwal's misrule and the Purvanchal community settled in Delhi is now standing with the BJP for the better future of Delhi.”
Lok Sabha BJP MP Ravi Kishan campaigned extensively in Delhi for the third consecutive day and said in the Purvanchal Samaj Samvad programs in Wazirpur, Patparganj, Malviya Nagar and Model Town that Kejriwal always insults our Purvanchal pride by saying that people of Purvanchal come with a ticket of Rs 500 and run away after getting free treatment worth Rs 5 lakh. “Now the Purvanchal society settled in Delhi will not forgive Arvind Kejriwal for insulting them and will send Kejriwal off on 8th February,” he claimed.
Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Premchand Bairwa also did intensive door to door campaigning along with a huge public meeting in support of BJP candidate Anil Gaur in Seelampur.
MP Kiran Chaudhary, former MP Locket Chatterjee, National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia, and former Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan also addressed many public meetings and created an environment to ensure BJP's victory.
