Responding to the statement of Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari, BJP State President Vishnu Dutt Sharma has, asserted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s foreign policy has achieved historic milestones and strengthened the country's global standing. He claimed that Congress leaders are frustrated because of this progress. Sharma pointed out that during the Congress regime, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was seen as weak on the global stage, whereas today, world leaders welcome Narendra Modi with red carpet receptions.
He further emphasized that India's robust foreign policy was evident during the Russia-Ukraine war when Indian students safely evacuated by bus displayed the Indian tricolor for protection. He also noted that earlier, Pakistan frequently attempted to defame India by raising the Kashmir issue at the United Nations, a practice that is no longer possible under Modi’s leadership. Deportation, he added, is a routine international procedure, citing that in 2009, as many as 734 people were deported from the United States. He maintained that it is the responsibility of every country to take back its citizens if they are living illegally abroad.
The Indian government, he assured, remains in constant touch with US authorities to ensure no mistreatment occurs during deportation. Sharma also criticized the Congress, stating that a party that once violated constitutional principles during the Emergency has no moral ground to question India's foreign policy.
Commenting on the state's development, Sharma said that the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, is making consistent efforts to transform the state into an industrial hub, which has received overwhelming support from both the business community and the public. He accused the Congress of being unsettled by Madhya Pradesh’s rapid progress and claimed that Jeetu Patwari is deliberately making baseless allegations against the state government to tarnish Madhya Pradesh's image ahead of the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal.
