Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the importance of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government for the development of Bihar and the nation. Addressing the "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" event organized at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state headquarters on Sunday to commemorate Bihar Diwas, he stated that Bihar is undergoing a transformative phase, and it is crucial for the NDA government to continue in both Bihar and the country.
Yadav criticized the Congress party and its allies, accusing them of obstructing the legacy of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. He recalled that these parties had attempted to block the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and Lal Krishna Advani’s Rath Yatra. "Those who are not with Lord Ram are of no use to the nation," he declared. The Chief Minister also announced that a park and a statue dedicated to former President Dr. Rajendra Prasad will be established in Bhopal in his memory.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, BJP state president and Khajuraho MP Vishnudutt Sharma, Bihar Minister Raju Kumar Singh, and BJP state organization general secretary Shri Hitanand.
Addressing the gathering, BJP state president Vishnudutt Sharma highlighted Bihar’s historical and cultural contributions. He noted that Bihar’s Vaishali Republic was the first to introduce the concept of democracy to the world and that the state played a significant role in opposing the Emergency imposed by the Congress. He praised the dedication and hard work of the people from the Bhojpuri community, who, he said, have contributed immensely to the development of Madhya Pradesh and other regions.
Bihar Minister Raju Kumar Singh lauded the Bhojpuri community's contribution to the nation’s development. He reminded the audience that Bihar was the first to raise its voice against British colonialism.
He urged everyone to support the NDA government for the continued progress of both Bihar and the nation.
PM Modi has Put Bihar on the Path of Development: CM Yadav
Dr. Mohan Yadav further highlighted the developmental initiatives led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bihar. He mentioned the restoration of historical and cultural sites like Nalanda University, the construction of highways and educational institutions such as IITs and IIMs, and the overall infrastructural growth under the NDA government.
"Bihar is now witnessing a new era of growth. It is vital that the NDA government continues both at the center and in Bihar. I urge all brothers and sisters present here to commit themselves to ensuring the NDA’s victory in the upcoming elections," Dr. Yadav remarked.
He also recalled an important historical anecdote, mentioning that despite opposition from then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad inaugurated the restored Somnath temple at the invitation of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. "His contribution to preserving Sanatan culture cannot be forgotten," he said while reiterating plans for a memorial park and statue in Dr. Prasad’s honor in Bhopal
Historical Ties Between Madhya Pradesh and Bihar Dr. Yadav also underscored the deep-rooted historical connections between Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. He explained that during the Mauryan era, future emperors governed from Ujjain (Avanti) before ascending the throne in Pataliputra (modern-day Patna). Even Emperor Ashoka spent a decade in Avanti before becoming the ruler of the Mauryan Empire.
He highlighted the cultural ties, mentioning that the Bhojpuri dialect has roots in the legacy of King Bhoj and that the Ujjainia Thakur clan in Bihar reflects the region’s historic connection to Ujjain. Dr. Yadav further pointed out that Bihar is the only Indian state named after Lord Krishna (Vrindavan Bihari) and recounted how Lord Krishna passed through Bihar en route to Assam to defeat the demon Narakasura.
Reiterating his criticism of the opposition, Dr. Yadav accused the Congress and its allies of consistently blocking efforts to honor Hindu traditions. "They even tried to stop the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Remember, those who do not stand with Lord Ram are of no use to the nation," he asserted.
The event concluded with a call to the Bhojpuri community to work tirelessly to ensure the NDA’s success in the upcoming elections and to continue supporting the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed and prosperous Bihar.
