National Productivity Week which began in BHEL, Bhopal on the theme “From Idea to Impact: Protecting Intellectual Property for Competitive Start-up’s” concluded today with a prize distribution ceremony organised at Administration building. SM Ramanathan, Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal was present as the Chief Guest in the program. On this occasion Ramanathan felicitated the employees who won the essay and slogan competition organised by the Productivity Department. PK Upadhyay, General Manager (Operations), Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, General Manager (SOM), other General Managers and award winners were also present on this occasion.
While congratulating all the award winners, Ramanathan said that the contribution of all the employees of BHEL is equally important in increasing the productivity of the company. Along with the IMPRESS scheme, many schemes have been implemented by the company to encourage the employees. While on one hand this has increased the productivity of the company, on the other hand it has enhanced the knowledge, thinking process and teamwork spirit of the employees. Discussing the theme of national productivity this year, he said that while intellectual property has empowered new start-up’s, its use has strengthened the economy which has led to a significant increase in investment. He also said that a fast-growing economy like India has got a new identity at the global level due to intellectual property and new start-up’s and the youth are getting new opportunities under Make in India.
Ramanathan presented the ED IMPRESS Trophy to TME Department for scoring the highest IP Index for the year 2023-24. Akash Dani, General Manager (TPTN & CET) and Vikash Rawtiya Sr DGM (TME) received the trophy. Apart from this, the winners of various competitions during the week as follows: -
In the slogan competition, Indu Yadav, Manager, Satyadeep Bhagat, Draftsman Grade-1 and Priya, Deputy Engineer got the first, second and third prizes respectively. In the essay competition, JC Abraham, Additional General Manager, Anand Kumar Soni, Artisan Grade-1 and . Manoj Kumar Chaudhary, Manager got the first, second and third prizes.
