In a major breakthrough against terror activities, Ratlam Police arrested Firoz alias Sabji, a founding member and treasurer of the radical outfit Al-Sufa, who had been on the run with a Rs 5 lakh bounty on his head. Firoz had recently returned to Ratlam, allegedly planning a major act of terror.
Upon receiving intelligence about his presence, four separate police teams were formed under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police, launching a city-wide search. Informers were deployed to track Firoz’s movements.
The investigation led the teams to a house in Anand Colony, where Firoz was reportedly hiding at his sister Rehana’s residence. Acting on this crucial lead, two teams of Ratlam Police were dispatched to the location. The Superintendent of Police personally led the operation, carefully briefing the teams about the risks involved.
Once at the scene, police cordoned off the area and conducted a thorough search of the house. Firoz attempted to escape but was swiftly apprehended after a brief struggle. Following his capture, a case was registered at Station Road Police Station, and further legal proceedings are underway. The successful operation has been widely praised as a significant blow to terrorist activities in the region.
