Jabalpur High Court has granted anicipatory bail to Aishbagh TI Jitendra Garhwal, who went underground on the charges of demanding bribes in exchange for saving fake call center operators in Bhopal.
The court of High Court Judge Maninder S Bhatti has given him the benefit of anticipatory bail.
Meanwhile, the main accused in the case, ASI Pawan Raghuvanshi, is still absconding. Along with him, ASI Manoj Singh and head constable Dharmendra Singh, along with other accused Moin Anshul Parshad, are also absconding.
Pawan is accused of keeping Rs 4.94 lakh of bribe at home. He had taken the diaries of important cases with him even after being reported to the line. His conduct was constantly suspicious.
Acting Inspector Jitendra Garhwal had informed DCP Zone-1 about his suspicious conduct through a confidential letter. On this basis, he was reported to the line on February 28. Its report was also recorded in the diary. All these arguments were given in the court on behalf of his lawyer. On the basis of which he got the benefit of bail.
After Pawan was put on line duty, the TI immediately ordered him to transfer the charge of all the case diaries he had with him to someone else, but he took the diaries with him. The diary of the fake call center case was also present in these diaries. A report of this is also recorded in the diary.
In this bribery case, a case has been registered against TI Jitendra Garhwal under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The special thing is that the FIR was registered against Jitendra Garhwal in the same police station where he was posted as TI till 11 am on March 5. Along with him, Pawan Raghuvanshi, Head Constable Dharmendra and Anshul alias Mona Jain, who gave bribe from Tikamgarh, have been accused.
In this fraud call center case, the police had suspended four policemen including Aishbagh police station TI Jitendra Garhwal for negligence in action.
