On the instructions of Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh, the department has prepared the “Beneficiary Level Geo Tag App” as a unique initiative to give timely installment amount to the beneficiaries in the housing construction work under Abua Awas Yojana. Through this app, the beneficiaries will be able to geo-tag their under-construction houses themselves as per the progress of housing construction.

The Minister said that many things come to the fore during the work related to giving housing to the beneficiaries. Therefore, the app has been prepared with the aim of making transparency in the processes related to paying installment amount to the beneficiaries on time. The far-reaching results of which will be seen. This will also stop the irregularities in the distribution of installments to the beneficiaries.

According to the department, a provision has been made to release the assistance amount of Rs 2,00,000.00 to the approved beneficiaries in four installments against the target allocated under the Abua Housing Scheme. Rural Development Secretary K Srinivasan has written a letter to all the Deputy Commissioners and Deputy Development Commissioners and directed them to take the help of the Village Organization (VO) formed and operated by JSLPS to provide assistance in housing construction to the beneficiaries of Abua Housing Scheme at the Gram Panchayat level to bring progress in the implementation of the scheme.

The Secretary has clearly said that transparency should be brought in the payment of installments of the assistance amount given to the beneficiaries under any circumstances. For this, beneficiaries in each Panchayat of the block should be divided into groups of four each and other important instructions include payment of pending installments to the beneficiaries on Wednesday of any one week of the month.

MGNREGA Commissioner cum Nodal Officer, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) Mrityunjay Kumar Baranwal has written a letter to all Deputy Commissioners, Deputy Development Commissioners and directed them to take immediate action in this direction by making this app available to the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Beneficiaries can download this app from Google Play Store or Abua Awas Yojana portal and install it on their mobile. Beneficiaries will receive OTP in the mobile while installing it.

To geo-tag through the app, it will be mandatory for all beneficiaries to update their mobile number in the block login. The geo-tag done by the beneficiaries themselves in the app will be verified by the Panchayat Sevak within 7 days. The Panchayat Servant can approve or reject the said GeoTag (with reasons).
