Aadhar linked single bank account holders to get Maiyan funds

Jharkhand Cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hemant Soren where nod to 16 proposals were approved. In a major decision taken by the Soren cabinet, the government decided to make an amendment in the Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainiya Samman Yojana. Partial amendment has been approved in the implementation of this scheme. After March-2025, only Aadhar linked single bank account holders will get the benefit of Mainiya Samman Yojana.

The  Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana  is a welfare initiative aimed at providing financial assistance of Rs 2,500 per month to economically weaker women across the state. Launched to empower women and improve their financial stability, this scheme is open to women aged 18 to 50 years and belonging to families holding ration cards issued by the Jharkhand government.

In other decisions, the Cabinet approved the proposal to dismiss suspended Jharkhand Administrative Service officer Sadhna Jaipuriar (then Block Development Officer, Manika, Latehar). The Hemant Soren Cabinet has approved the formation of Jharkhand Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Special Exemption) Bill-2025. Along with this, the third supplementary expenditure statement of the financial year 2024-25 has been approved post-deduction.

The cabinet has given post-deduction approval on the budget estimates of the financial year 2025-26. Post-deduction approval has been given regarding the presentation of Jharkhand Economic Survey 2024-25 on the table of the Legislative Assembly. In the light of various orders passed by the High Court regarding service regularization and the recommendation made in the meeting of the Departmental Regularization Committee (18.08.2022), approval was given to confirm/regularize the services of a total of six employees.

Approval was given to relax the provision related to the limited competitive examination provided in the Jharkhand Secretariat Service Rules-2010 (as amended by Departmental Notification No.-6125, dated-09.05.2012) related to promotion from the category of Assistant Branch Officer to the post of Branch Officer under Jharkhand Secretariat Service as a convenience.

In the sequence of digitization process going on for the works related to state employees in the Office of the Chief Accountant General, Ranchi, financial assistance of Rs. 50 lakh 3 thousand 7 hundred was approved as the second phase. Approval was given for the formation of Jharkhand Community Health Assistant Cadre (Recruitment, Promotion and Other Service Conditions) Rules-2025 under the Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare. Approval of in-principle consent on the proposal for construction of Balpahari Barrage

In view of the increase in the rate of Goods and Services Tax (GST) from 12% to 18% in the category of construction work, approval of the related payment/difference amount liability in the work contracts of the Water Resources Department was given. In the light of the in-principle consent received by the State Government for the implementation of the third phase of the e-court project, the Cabinet has given post-deduction approval on the tripartite agreement (MOU) signed by the Principal Secretary cum Legal Advisor on behalf of the State Government as the second party. In-principle consent has been approved on the proposal of the State Government for construction of Balpahari Barrage in the downstream (D/S) of Balpahari Dam under the Balpahari Irrigation Scheme.
