A 54-year-old man was killed, while his 24-year-old daughter escaped with injuries after a car moving in the wrong direction hit their bike at Einthkhedi bridge on Wednesday, man died while undergoing treatment on Saturday morning.
Father and daughter were going to see their plot. During this, an Alto car coming from the wrong side hit their bike.
Ganesh Sahu lived in Shiv Nagar, Chhola and opreated a grocery shop in Karond. On Wednesday evening, he went out with his daughter Jyoti Sahu to inspect their plot in Einthkhedi and on their way when they reached the Einthkhedi bridge, this incident happened. Both were seriously injured in the accident.
Ganesh Sahu died in the early hours of Saturday. The police handed over the body to the family after the post-mortem.
Family said that before the accident, the Alto car had already hit another vehicle. In panic, the driver lost control and came on the wrong side and hit Ganesh Sahu's bike as well. After the accident, the accused fled from the spot. The car was found abandoned.
