The Bhopal Crime Branch team has arrested 4 smugglers who were smuggling Cannabis from Odisha to Bhopal and recovered 15.160 kg worth Rs 4 lakh illegally transported drugs from the accused.
The Crime Branch had received information that 4 people were waiting for customers with ganja in bags in front of Yash Bank located in MP Nagar Zone-1. After getting the information, Crime Branch Station Incharge Ashok Maravi and his team reached the spot and arrested the accused.
These four people are carrying bags with them, which are full of Cannabis and were waiting to sell it to a customer.
The police team took action by planning on the basis of information. All the policemen were in plain clothes so that the smugglers did not have any kind of suspicion. When the team reached in front of Yash Bank, four people were sitting there with their bags.
The police gradually cordoned off the area so that none of the accused could escape. As soon as the police caught the four and frisked them and checked their belongings Cannabis wrapped in foil was found in their bags. On interrogation, the accused admitted that they had brought this Cannabis from Orissa and were trying to sell it in Bhopal.
