The Radiant Jharkhand Exhibition, inaugurated on Thursday, is a testament to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by 2047, stated Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto. Speaking at the event, Mahto emphasized that the exhibition embodies the spirit of progress and development, showcasing government schemes and initiatives aimed at public welfare and community growth.
The exhibition, organized for the first time in Jamshedpur, provides comprehensive information for all sections of society. It offers youth-oriented information on new educational courses, employment opportunities, and educational loans, while also catering to farmers with information related to agriculture and farming techniques. Mahto highlighted that the exhibition encapsulates all central government schemes, ensuring that the public is well-informed about initiatives designed to enhance their lives.
MP formally inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon, followed by a visit to each stall to observe the array of displays. The event attracted a large crowd on its first day, with approximately 2,500 students from various schools and colleges attending. People from different parts of Kolhan also visited the exhibition, making it a successful opening day.
The event was marked by a vibrant cultural performance, where Shruti Chaudhary presented a Ganesh Vandana dance. Mitu Pal Gupta delivered the welcome speech, and Vanish Gupta, Director of Visual Myths, gave the vote of thanks. The program was smoothly conducted by Uday Chandravanshi.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including: RK Tiwari, Principal of RVS College , Dr. SS Razi, Board of Directors, Arka Jain University, Javed Akhtar, Chairman, Rabia Institute, Dr. Sandeep Ghosh Chaudhary, Director, CSIR NML, Aravori Vishwapriya, Deputy Director, Geological Survey of India (GSI), Luv Shukla, Assistant General Manager, DFCCIL and Meetu Pal Gupta, Director, Visual Myths.
One of the major attractions was the Geological Survey of India (GSI) stall, which showcased dinosaur eggs and ancient human remains dating back five lakh years. Visitors were fascinated by the exhibits, which offered a glimpse into the prehistoric era. Aravori Vishwapriya, Assistant Director of the Jharkhand Unit of GSI, shared insightful details, noting that Jharkhand is home to about 40% of India's total mineral resources, including a wide variety of minerals displayed at the exhibition.
The success of the event was attributed to the tireless efforts of several individuals, including Jyotika Khurana, Vishal Malik, Vinod Kumar, Santosh Pawar, Amisha Saxena, Aditi Saxena, Anisha Yadav, Mohammad Afzal, Dutta Thore, and Kinjal Gandhi. Their dedication ensured the smooth execution of the program, contributing to the overwhelming response from the public.
BIS stall grabs attention in the exhibition
Jamshedpur: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Jamshedpur office, is proudly participating in the three-day mega exhibition, Radiant Jharkhand, which kicked off today at Ramada Hotel. This landmark event, running from February 20 to 22, 2025, is set to showcase India's achievements, commitment to high quality standards and opportunities for youth.
The BIS stall, a key highlight of the exhibition, drew large crowds, particularly engineering students, who were eager to learn about the various standards endorsed by BIS and their impact on both domestic and international markets. Many students, previously unaware of standards, expressed curiosity about the benefits of purchasing BIS-approved products.
Kunal Kumar, Director and Head of BIS, commented, “It’s a privilege to be part of such a significant event, alongside other major players in India’s economic landscape. We are delighted to engage with the public, especially college students who represent the future of this country. Talking about standards in a public forum such as this is a step toward building greater awareness.”
