Promoting environmental awareness, DPS Bokaro organized ‘Phulwari—Nurturing Nature’, an exhibition-cum-competition, in its Primary and Senior Wings today. The event, themed ‘Rustic Radiance’ and ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’, encouraged students to embrace sustainability and appreciate nature’s beauty.
Kundan Kumar, Chief General Manager, Town Administration, Bokaro Steel Plant, inaugurated the exhibition with Dr. A. S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro, by planting Bay Rum and Cinnamon saplings. Kumar highlighted the urgency of afforestation amid urbanization, urging collective responsibility for environmental conservation.
Over 2,000 plant species were displayed, including seasonal flowers, medicinal plants, and vegetables. Judges evaluated entries across categories, while the ‘Best out of Waste’ segment showcased creative reuse of materials.
