The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) now allows prospective applicants to register for Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 until February 18. The deadline now extends to February 18 at 6 pm for Civil Services (Preliminary)-2025 as well as Indian Forest Service (Preliminary)-2025 examination registration.
Free online applications became available until 6 pm on February 11 according to the original framework. The official portal upsc.gov.in allows everyone to file their applications.
Candidates will have access to the correction window during February 19 up to February 25 for modifying their application details.
The authorities behind the UPSC notice excluded details about why they extended the application window period. The Commission decided to extend the deadline according to PTI news agency because some applicants faced technical problems while processing their applications.
The Civil Services Preliminary Examination takes place on May 25 based on current programming. The UPSC examination process will create 979 positions with specific reservations for 38 opportunities designated for candidates who have benchmark disabilities.
Every year the UPSC runs the civil services examination in three parts: preliminary stage and the main examination which is followed by an interview. The examination serves to identify suitable candidates who can join the IAS and IFS as well as IPS and other civil services.
