Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Kanpur on Sunday to review ongoing development projects, including the Convention Center and Chunni Ganj Metro Station. He urged officials to ensure timely completion of both projects with top-quality standards.
The Chief Minister first visited the Convention Center, which is being built over 15,383.43 square meters. He reviewed the construction progress and directed officials to ensure its completion within the stipulated time. The facility will feature two exhibition halls, an auditorium, a conference hall, meeting rooms, a food court, guest rooms, a dining area, a business center, and an administration block.
Subsequently, he inspected the Chunniganj Metro Station, which is part of the Kanpur Metro Project. He assessed the operational preparations and instructed officials to expedite the station’s launch.
The Kanpur Metro project includes two corridors: IIT Kanpur to Naubasta (21 stations) and Kanpur University to Barra-8 (8 stations).
Notably, CM Yogi had inaugurated the Kanpur Metro in 2021, and with the completion of the second phase, he is expected to launch its operations soon.
