The Creator Hackathon, Organized under the leadership of Wavelaps as part of the Ministry of information and Broadcasting’s flagship WAVES initiative. It is revolutionizing India’s immersive Technology sector. This competition is providing emerging XR innovators with a platform to showcase their talent on a global scale. Wavelaps, a pioneering solutions provider in India’s immersive technology industry and an industry partner of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It is offering technological and consulting guidance to finalist teams throughout the hackathon.
Team members Mr. Mohit Kumar Sharma and Mr. Aneesh Domble, hailing from different states of India. They share a common vision. They are establishing India as a global leader in XR and immersive technology. Mr. Mohan said,” His ambition extends beyond gaming, they aim to integrate immersive technology into Defence and Military training”.
“We want our technology to transform not just the gaming industry but also contribute to national security and military training”, He added.
Team YouthBuzz has achieved a new milestone in the VR gaming industry by securing a place in the top 40 with their project. Immersive Warfare Simulator - The Game of Dimensions, Chapter 1.
This is not a VR Game, but a unique innovation bridging the gap between mobile and VR Gaming. The game allows two teams to play simultaneousl. One using VR headsets and the other on mobile devices. Each team will have four players, completely transforming the multiplayer gaming experience.
Under this project, Team YouthBuzz has developed a ‘Made in India Haptic Gun. This game based on a 1:1 scale model of a real gun.
This gun will give players an immersive feeling Similar to actual warfare. Additionally, the team is developing a haptic vest. Currently, It’s in the prototype stage and designed to take the gaming experience to the next level.
XR communities such as Bharat XR and XDG have played a crucial role in taking this competition nationwide. These communities have played an important role in providing XR innovators with the right platform and spreading immersive technology on a larger scale
Teams like YouthBuzz and platforms like the XR Creator Hackathon are demonstrating that India is not only developing technology but is also ready to give the world new experiences.
