With the Delhi assembly elections nearing, the AAP and BJP have been indulging in social media wars with the latter taking a dig at the ruling party over its senior leader Saurabh Bharadwaj asking Siri about the political party who started using the word ‘guarantee’ on Monday.
During the release of AAP’s manifesto, the Delhi Minister noted that while the term "guarantee" was first coined by Arvind Kejriwal during the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, it has since been adopted by various political parties.
To substantiate this claim, he referenced Siri and ChatGPT, stating that even these platforms recognize AAP's pioneering use of the term. He played the audio of a response, mentioning the acknowledgement of Arvind Kejriwal and AAP's use of "guarantee" as an inspiring move that set a trend later followed by others. However, using this clip, the BJP attacked the party for not cleaning the Yamuna river even as the AAP chief had promised the same in 2020. Hitting out at the ruling party, the BJP made a spoof video where the Bharadwaj asks “Hey Siri, who used the word if I am not able to clean Yamuna river, do not vote for me.”
Responding to the question, Siri replied, “The term if I am not able to clean Yamuna, do not vote for me was used by Kejriwal in 2022.” With the state polls around the corner, both the AAP and BJP have been engaging in fierce poster and video wars using creative ways to convey their message to the public while cornering each other over various issues.
