Yogi campaigned tirelessly for Modi, Rajnath & others

With the slogan ‘Abki Baar 400 Paar, 80 Banega Iska Adhaar’, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath significantly contributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s potential third term in office.

The state is set to send a strong contingent of parliamentarians to Delhi, with the chief minister putting in considerable effort to ensure their success.

He has campaigned extensively, urging voters to re-elect Prime Minister Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with 12 other Central ministers from Uttar Pradesh. He also supported four state ministers in their bid to secure seats in the Lok Sabha, ensuring a smooth path for their transition to Delhi.

Apart from this, Chief Minister Yogi also held rallies, roadshows and public meetings for Rajya Sabha MPs, eight MLAs of BJP and allied parties and three legislative council members.

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections have eight MLAs from Uttar Pradesh contesting the polls under the National Democratic Alliance banner. Chief Minister Yogi has held numerous rallies in support of these candidates.

Minister in Yogi government and Mainpuri MLA Jaiveer Singh is contesting from Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, while minister and Khair MLA Anoop Pradhan Valmiki has been fielded from Hathras Lok Sabha constituency. Other NDA candidates include Phulpur MLA Praveen Patel from Phulpur Lok Sabha seat, Ghaziabad MLA Atul Garg from Ghaziabad, NISHAD Party MLA Vinod Kumar Bind from Bhadohi, Nehtaur MLA Om Kumar from Nagina, Meerapur MLA Chandan Chauhan (RLD) from Bijnor and Chhanbey MLA Rinki Kol (Apna Dal-S) from Robertsganj.

Four ministers of the Yogi government are also contesting the Lok Sabha elections. Of these, Jitin Prasada has been fielded from Pilibhit, Jaiveer Singh from Mainpuri, Anoop Pradhan from Hathras and Dinesh Pratap Singh from Rae Bareli. Notably, Jaiveer Singh and Anoop Pradhan are members of the UP Legislative Assembly, while Dinesh Pratap Singh and Jitin Prasada are members of the UP Legislative Council.

Apart from these two, the Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded MLC Saket Mishra as its candidate from the Shravasti Lok Sabha constituency. On the other hand, Rajya Sabha member Neeraj Shekhar has been fielded as BJP candidate from the Ballia Lok Sabha seat this time. Voting will take place in Ballia in the seventh phase.

As the head of UP, Chief Minister Yogi has campaigned tirelessly for these candidates.

The BJP has fielded Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi organised several rallies, conferences and public meetings to support these leaders.

Other Central ministers in the fray from Uttar Pradesh include Smriti Irani from Amethi, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma from Jalaun, Professor SP Singh Baghel from Agra, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary from Maharajganj, Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey from Chandauli, Anupriya Patel from Mirzapur, Sanjeev Balyan from Muzaffarnagar, Ajay Mishra Teni from Lakhimpur Kheri, Kaushal Kishore from Mohanlalganj and Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti from Fatehpur. The chief minister has played a crucial role in their campaigns, organising public meetings and rallies for them across the state.
