After administration and police failed to curb illegal sale of liquor women of Raipur village on Berasia Road on the outskirts of state capital took to the road against the illegal sale of liquor. They protested in front of District Panchayat Vice President Mohan Jat and talked about blocking the roads.
A protest was also held on Friday regarding the illegal sale of liquor. Even before this, Sarpanch Dara Singh had made a written complaint to the Collector and SP and demanded action.
Mohan Jat, District Panchayat Vice President said that liquor is being sold illegally in many villages of Berasia district area, which should be stopped. If this does not happen, then we will block the roads with the villagers.
Sarpanch Dara Singh told in a letter written to the Collector-SP that illegal liquor is being sold in Raipur. Many men and women of the village are in the grip of addiction due to being sold at a cheap price. Due to this, not only disputes are increasing in the houses but many crimes like fights have also increased. Therefore, the police and excise department staff should take strict action against those selling illegal liquor by checking.
District Panchayat Vice President Jat said that women have protested in the village on Friday, he also reached the village and talked. Women said that illegal liquor is being sold in the entire village.
The Police and Excise Department team are not taking any action. <
