Governor Mangubhai Patel said that the “Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” is delivering benefits to eligible beneficiaries of various schemes. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made schemes cover care of every section of the society.
Governor Mangubhai Patel inaugurated the “Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” programme at Jamni Gurjar village in Khandwa district. This was followed by the national anthem and broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message.
Governor Patel said that women today are becoming economically and socially empowered by joining self-help groups. They are attaining self-reliance in every sector. It is the priority of the government to ensure that every eligible beneficiary gets gets benefits Many programmes and schemes are also being implemented with an aim of making women self-reliant. Now women are working fearlessly in every field. Self-help Groups have changed the lives of women.
Governor Mangubhai Patel said that for the first time a Sankalp Yatra has become the medium to provide benefits of government schemes to the people by reaching out in rural areas. The benefits of the schemes have been guaranteed by Prime Minister Modi.
Governor Patel said that a target has been set to eliminate sickle cell anemia from India by the year 2047. He asked the concerning authorities to identify patients and carriers of a serious disease like sickle cell anemia through testing, so that genetic disease can be completely eradicated. Cooperation has been sought from Anganwadi centres, schools, colleges and social workers.
Governor Mangubhai Patel provided benefits to eligible beneficiaries namely Deepika Bai, Savitri Bai and Pinky Bai under the “Ujjwala Yojana”. Anil, Omprakash and Vijay were given ‘Kisan Credit Cards’, ‘Ayushman Card’ to Sunil, son of Radheshyam, certificate to Vikas under Swamitva Yojana and benefits under Soil Health Card to Deepak and Pavan. Governor Mangubhai Patel administered an oath to all those present in the programme to build a developed India.
Tribal Affairs Department Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah presented a replica of the Ramlalla Temple built by the Bamboo Art Center of Khalwa development block to Governor Mangubhai Patel. Gangaur and Birsa Munda tribal dance performances were given by school girls. Governor Mangubhai Patel motivated the girl students.
Tribal Affairs Department Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah said that the tribal dominated Jamni Gurjar village of Khandwa district is fortunate to have the Governor in their midst. He said that no poor person will remain deprived of access to government schemes through the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
