A 24-year-old woman in Bhopal committed suicide by jumping into Kaliyasot dam, before committing suicide, she told her brother over phone"I am harassed by my husband and mother-in-law. That is why I am going to die".
The audio of this conversation between brother and sister has also surfaced.
The incident took place at 12 noon on Friday. Ras Bihari Sharma, in-charge of Ratibad police station, said that Neha Patil, wife of Rohit Patil (24), resident of Kolar, had come to visit the dam with two friends on Friday.
Meanwhile, she received a call and while talking on mobile phone she suddenly jumped into the dam. Police are investigating the matter.
Neha used to work as a computer operator in JK Hospital while her husband drives a car for an officer in the Municipal Corporation.
The woman's brother Roshan said that she had left the house this morning saying she was going to work.
There was a dispute between the husband and wife over the phone. The husband had used some abusive words. After which the sister called me and said- Husband and mother-in-law are harassing me a lot. That is why I am giving up my life.
The audio of brother's last conversation with Neha has been provided by the family.
Neha and Rohit had an arranged marriage two years ago. Both are residents of Multai district Betul and from the marriage they do not have any children.
Neha's parents have alleged the husband and father-in-law of harassing her for dowry.
