Woman dies due to electric shock in Garhwa

A woman died and her 5 years old son injured when they came into contact with a live electric wire at village Auraiya  under Meral police station area of the district,on Wednesday. Injured boy  Narad Kumar, is being treated at  Garhwa Sadar Hospital and stated to be stable. 

 

The deceased has been identified as Suman Devi, 22,  wife of Devraj Chaudhary of Auraiya village. 

 

According to information, Suman Devi was taking bath there after starting the electric motor by connecting the wire. During this, an electric wire fell down. Then her five-year-old son, who was present there, caught the electric wire with his hand. Due to this, Narad Kumar got in contact with the electric current. While trying to save her son, the deceased  got caught in the electric current. 

When the relatives saw the mother and son, the line was cut. By then, the condition of both had become critical. The relatives hurriedly took both the injured to the Sadar Hospital.

 

On receiving the information, the police took his body in their custody and sent it to the  post-mortem. The condition of Narad Kumar, who is undergoing treatment in Sadar Hospital, remains stable.
