In a tragic incident, a 28-year-old woman named Priya Dhibar, a resident of Khutadih Harijan Basti in the Sonari police station area of Jamshedpur, committed suicide by hanging herself. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, revealing a deeply troubling case of alleged domestic abuse.

Priya Dhibar left behind a suicide note, written in Bengali, in which she accused her husband of being the reason for her drastic decision. In the note, she detailed the sexual and physical abuse she had endured at the hands of her husband, Krishna Dhibar. The note explicitly mentioned her desperation and inability to continue living under such conditions, ultimately leading to her decision to end her life.

The Sonari police took swift action upon discovering the suicide note and arrested Krishna Dhibar. According to available information, Priya Dhibar hailed from Bandkudra in West Bengal and had married Krishna Dhibar, an auto driver, in Sonari. The couple lived in a rented house belonging to Siya Ram Sahu in Khutadih Harijan Basti. Their relationship was reportedly fraught with disputes and conflict.

Priya Dhibar is survived by a daughter, who is currently being raised at her maternal uncle's house. On Wednesday morning, Priya was found hanging in her home. The tragic discovery was made when the house owner noticed that Priya had not opened the door for an unusually long time. Upon realizing something was amiss, the owner promptly notified the police, who then uncovered the distressing scene.

Following the discovery, the police arrested Krishna Dhibar and charged him with abetment to suicide. The arrest was made immediately, and Krishna Dhibar was taken into custody and subsequently sent to jail.
