Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that with the blessings of sisters, Madhya Pradesh has risen to become the number one state in the country. He emphasized that the love of sisters on Raksha Bandhan is the greatest blessing. Yadav shared these sentiments while interacting with the sisters at the Ladli Behna Raksha Bandhan programme, which was held today at Raghunandan Garden Panwasa, Suman Garden, and Shivanjali Garden in Ujjain.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India, the world’s largest democracy, has gained global recognition. He noted that the world is now looking towards India and its rich culture. Dr. Yadav emphasized that the government should remain socially conscious and in tune with society's needs.
He also mentioned that, in celebration of Raksha Bandhan, the government has deposited an additional Rs 250 as a shagun, along with the monthly amount of Rs 1250, into the accounts of 1 crore 29 lakh Ladli Behnas in the state. The Chief Minister assured that the government will continue to fulfill public expectations. He added that the entire city of Ujjain is filled with joy today, on Raksha Bandhan, and expressed pride in belonging to Ujjain, the city of Lord Mahakal.
At the outset, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav along with the guests launched the programme by lighting the lamp and also performed kanya pujan.
The sisters presented a big Rakhi to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav as a symbol and also tied Rakhi on his wrist. The Chief Minister in turn presented gifts to all the sisters. He also rocked the swing for them and welcomed them by showering flowers.
District in-charge Minister Gautam Tetwal, MP Firoziya, Rajya Sabha MP Umeshnathji and MLA Jain addressed the Behnas and congratulated them on Raksha Bandhan. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also planted saplings at the venue under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.
On this occasion, Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, MLA Anil Jain Kaluhera, Satish Malviya, Jitendra Pandya, Tejbahadur Singh Chauhan, Municipal Corporation Chairman Kalavati Yadav, Vivek Joshi, Bahadur Singh Bormundla, Jagdish Aggarwal, Shyam Bansal, Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Gupta, IG Santosh Kumar Singh, Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh, SP Pradeep Sharma and other officers, public representatives, corporators, distinguished citizens, journalists and a large number of Ladli Behnas were present.
