Water supply has commenced in the Chas Municipal Corporation area as of Saturday. Through the Chas Water Treatment Plant, piped water supply has been initiated to 35 wards within the municipal region. In areas facing water supply issues, water is being delivered via tankers to the residents. Following directives from Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, Additional Municipal Commissioner of Chas, Saurav Kumar Bhuvania, is personally overseeing the water supply arrangements.
In anticipation of the upcoming summer, Chas Municipal Corporation has formed a team to address water supply issues, including pipeline repairs, handpump maintenance, deep boring, and emergency tanker supply. Senior Officer and Assistant Municipal Commissioner Mukti Kidon has been appointed to lead this team.

This initiative aims to ensure adequate and clean drinking water for all citizens and effectively address the water crisis in the area.
