The Urban Development (UD)and Housing Department (HD)has organized Environment Fortnight in all the municipal bodies of the State. This fortnight started on June 6 and it will till June 22.
Under this fortnight, many programs are going on across the state and along with making people aware about the environment, emphasis is being laid on planting more trees, water conservation and soil conservation. In this sequence, emphasis is also being laid on including healthy living and yoga practice in the daily lifestyle so that the common people also become environment friendly.
In this sequence, yoga practice was conducted for three days in Ranchi Smart City Campus for children of government and private schools.
On the third day of the program, children were also given information about Patangsana, Shishupalan Asana, Nadi Vibhangi, Surya Shakti, Shavasana, Uddiyana Bandha etc. Asanas. During the program, children were also made to play many types of games along with Om Chanting. The children were also informed about the cleanliness and conservation of rivers being done through Namami Gange and the tree plantation program being done in cities across the state during this fortnight.
Officials of Urban Development Department, State Urban Development Agency and Ranchi Smart City Corporation also participated in this program and they were also taught yoga by Isha Foundation.
