Two minor children die due to drowning in Dhoda Dam

Two children died due to drowning while taking bath in naturally formed Dhodha (Kachha Dam). On information, the block administration and police administration reached the spot and took stock of the incident. It was told that both the children died while taking bath in the naturally constructed Kachha dam, west of Medho school in Ugra Medho border area of Senha police station area under Lohardaga district. Both the children had come to herd the cattle, where other small children were also present. Meanwhile, both the children went to take bath in the dam and went into deep water and died due to drowning. The deceased was identified as Ritesh Bhagat, 9 year old son of Bandhana Bhagat, resident of Ugra Tangra Toli. While the girl was identified as Anupa Kumari, 8 year old daughter of Rudna Oraon, resident of Haribari of Puso police station area. 

Villagers told that Anupa Kumari Ugra Tangra Toli had come to her maternal grandmother's house, late Satyanarayan Oraon. And the cattle came with the village children for grazing. On receiving information about drowning of children in Dhodha, Block Development Officer Sangram Murmu SI Manoj Kumar ASI Jamshed Khan along with his team reached the spot, took possession of the bodies of the children and sent them to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. In this context, BDO says that both the minor children died due to drowning in water, which is a very sad incident. Stating that the victim's family will be provided support as per government arrangements. At present, the process of conducting post mortem has been started.
