Along with the Central Government, the State Government has also made various schemes for the health, education, and security of women. Women empowerment is a multidimensional approach that includes economic, social, political, legal, and health aspects.
Minister Bhuria said that women’s policy should not be considered just a paper document, it should be prepared in the form of a manifesto. All such departments should be included where the aspects of women empoverment is untouched. She added that women empowerment is not a slogan, it is an action linked to the cutting edge of development that ensures the right to influence social change for themselves and others.
Principal Secretary,Women and Child Development Shri Sanjay Shukla said that empowerment has many components like education, security, health, law, etc.
The policy should include the human rights of women, their participation, and how disparities like violence, child marriage etc. can be eliminated. Shri Shukla said that Anganwadi workers, and women of self-help groups, currently working through mobile is digital empowerment. It is difficult to achieve the desired success by making efforts in only one direction because women's empowerment is a multidimensional concept. It is necessary to involve NGOs and social organizations also in this work. Let us start the empowerment of women and girls from our homes and departments.
