Tata Steel Foundation, Jharia Division, is organising a Summer Camp for school children, over a duration of ten days, starting from Wednesday that would end on June 14, at the Tata Feeder Centre, Digwadih. The Camp was inaugurated today by Pankaj Das, Head (HRBP), Jharia Division, Tata Steel.
The objective is to promote sports-related activities among the school-going/young children in the company's leasehold area. A total of 500 children from the age group of 7 to 16 years, from 15 schools in and around the Jamadoba area, will be participating in the Camp. The children will be trained under experienced coaches, in the disciplines of archery, football, and athletics, between 6 am and 8 am every day, with drinks provided to all the participating children.
The inauguration session was also attended by Madan Sinha, Senior Supervisor, Tata Steel Foundation; Ganesh Sharma, Assistant Manager, Tata Steel Foundation; Sanoj Mahato, Senior Assistant, Tata Steel Foundation; Central Coordination Committee Members - Kalicharan Mahato, Bhagirath Mahato, and Jaychand Mahato, and other members of the rural community.
