TPC area commander surrenders before Ranchi Police

TPC militant organization's Area Commander Rahul Ganjhu surrendered before Ranchi Police on Monday. In a program organized at the SSP office, he surrendered before Ranchi SSP Chandan Sinha. Many police officers were present during this time.

Ganjhu alias Khalil is a resident of Siram village of Budhmu police station area of Ranchi district. He said that the TPC organization has become a party of levy collection. The top militants of the organization exploit the lower commanders and pressurize them to act against the principle and harass the villagers.

A total of 21 cases are registered against Ganjhu in different police stations of Ranchi and Chatra districts.

The Area Commander was involved in major incidents such as he threatened the owner of HP petrol pump in Budhmu and also fired in February 2024, he threatened the contractor constructing a flyover in Ratu Road for levy in January 2024 , he threatened public representative of Budhmu Mohan Jaiswal for levy in February 2024, he threatened land dealers, brick kiln, sand mining, contractors of Budhmu Khalari, Chhapar, Mandar for levy in Year 2023-24 and he was involved in an encounter with the police in Serum forests in May 2024.

Ganjhu appealed to the Naxalite comrades to also lay down their arms by taking advantage of the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the Jharkhand government. Surrender before the police. Naxalite Rahul Ganjhu alias Khalil was a constant challenge for the Jharkhand Police. His surrender has dealt a big blow to the TPC organization and the organization has become very weak.
