The three housing schemes launched by Delhi Development Authority(DDA) on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan received impressive response, with flats of various categories across several locations, particularly affordable housing, generating good demand among the buyers, officials of the agency said on Saturday.

Giving details, they said over 1,200 LIG and 440 EWS flats were sold out in Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya Housing schemes, with Rohini leading where all 708 LIG flats were sold while around 250 flats were booked in Narela. Ramgarh also received impressive response. Out of 183 LIG flats in the scheme, 153 flats were sold.

Among the EWS segment, around 300 flats were sold out in Narela and all 139 flats offered in Loknayakpuram were also booked.

Delhi Lt Governor(LG)V K Saxena who reviewed the status, lauded DDA’s efforts in this direction and reiterated the Prime Minister’s and his personal commitment to housing for all, while prioritising the poor and not so well of sections.

Since the first day of the booking , i.e., September 10, the scheme is receiving impressive response with all HIG flats offered at Jasola were sold out on Day one.

The latest to join the bandwagon were flats in Dwarka, where balance inventory of one penthouse, three super HIG, 18 HIG and majority of MIG got sold in the bidding. The demand can be gauged from the fact that for 169 flats, around 2,000 people deposited the EMDs and after several rounds of bidding, the flats were sold at much above the reserve price.

The success story of Narela has been quite encouraging as DDA has taken several steps for the development of the promising sub-city. It is being developed as the upcoming education hub of Delhi, with many institutions being already operational and several projects in pipeline.

The proposed Rithala-Narela-Kundli metro rail corridor and Urban Extension Road project will further boost connectivity in the area. Many healthcare facilities are also on the anvil in Narela, which will aid growth of the sub city.

There are many works underway to improve and develop road network connectivity, drainage network, electrical connecting, water supply, and sewerage network in the Narela Zone.

The housing schemes were launched under the guidance of the LG, who has been personally spearheading and monitoring the housing schemes.

This remarkable success can be attributed to DDA’s commitment to providing quality housing at affordable prices, coupled with the strategic development plans. The DDA is developing greens around the housing pockets to improve quality of life for the buyers.Besides, additional final touches are being given to housing blocks to add value. Furthermore, DDA is in touch with local bodies to ensure cleanliness of the area. For those areas under its jurisdiction, DDA is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a green and clean Delhi. These efforts demonstrate DDA’s dedication to not only providing just affordable housing but also creating a sustainable and thriving community for its residents.

For the ease of the buyers, seamless information to them is being provided. Property documents are being given in folder. The folder to contain all relevant documents that include demand-cum-allotment letter (DAL), payment receipt, possession letter (PL), NOC for water and electricity, possession slip, RERA registration certificate and layout plan. Besides, DDA has provided all buyers with demand letters within 24 hours.

The DDA launched its three housing schemes in August 2024-Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya Housing Schemes and Dwarka Housing Scheme for various locations like Dwarka, Jasola, Narela, Rohini, Loknayakpuram, Ramgarh and Siraspur for various categories of flats.

While buyers can book flats for the first two schemes on First Come First Serve (FCFS) basis, flats were sold through e-auction in Dwarka Housing Scheme.
