Three cheats caught from Mumbai based call centre

Cyber police Bhopal has arrested three fraudsters from a call center based in Mumbai. The accused used to charge interest up to 40 percent by giving loans through online apps. Not only this, even after receiving the amount, they used to hack the mobile data and send edited obscene photos of the loan takers to their close relatives and demand money from them also.

Recently, fraudsters also committed a similar incident with a policeman. Tortured him for several days. Extorted up to Rs 14 lakh by blackmailing. Whose complaint was lodged in Cyber Crime Branch, Bhopal and while investigating this matter, the police had reached the accused.

On February 23, policeman Sudhesh Gautam had complained to TT Nagar. He stated that he had taken a loan of Rs 50000 from Sunny Online App last year and got Rs 30,000 after deducting 40 percent.  After 5 days, he was pressurised to return the money. To repay this, money had to be taken from different online apps.

To repay the loan through an online app, Sudhesh took many online loans and kept falling into the trap of fraudsters. He has given Rs 14 lakh against the loan of Rs 50000. Despite this, online app users are editing the photos and creating obscene photos and sending them to family members and people in the mobile contact list.

The accused have also edited obscene photos of their family members. The fraudsters have sent these photos to his real brother and other relatives and acquaintances.

DCP Shrutkirti Somvanshi said that after receiving the complaint, a technical investigation was conducted into the matter. The location of the mobile numbers from which victims and their relatives were called and threatened was traced. A call center in Mumbai was identified in the investigation. The phone numbers that were being used to threaten were all from this call centre. Three accused were arrested after raiding this call centre.

The accused were identified as Arvind Yadav, Adarsh Tiwari and Sheikh Saddam.
