Nishatpura police have started investigation into a theft committed by a minor boy at a pharmacy on New Jail Road on Friday; theft was revealed after CCTV footage of the incident was found.
The accused stole Rs 10000 cash in the cash box. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the shop. A complaint has been lodged in the police station, on the basis of the footage, the police have started searching for the suspect.
The police said that Dhakad Medical Store is located on New Jail Road which was targeted by the miscreants on Friday afternoon, the shop owner had gone to his house located nearby, during this time the shop was targeted. Two women and a child of about 10 years passed by on foot outside the shop. The eyes of the child and the women fell on the shop.
Seeing it empty, the child returned after going some distance and entered the shop. Here he opened the cash box and stole the cash of Rs 10000 kept in it.
The child is carrying a sack on his back. It is assumed from this that the child must be doing the work of picking up things. The women also appear to be from the Pardhi community. The police have raided the Pardhi colony in Gandhinagar in search of the suspect. However, no clue has been found about the accused.
