The Meteorological Center Ranchi, on Monday, has once again predicted rain in Jharkhand from May 28 to June 2.

The Centre informed that rain will provide relief from heat in many districts of the State. “There is a possibility of thunderstorm along with storm in the north-eastern parts of the state from May 28 to May 30. Its effect will be seen in Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, Sahibganj districts. An alert has also been issued regarding this. There is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in the eastern parts of the state on May 31. Its effect will be seen in Sahibganj, Pakur, Godda and Dumka districts. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder at isolated places in the state on June 1 and June 2,” he added.

“There is a possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms at isolated places in the north-eastern State on May 28. Wind speed can be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Its effect will be seen in Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, Sahibganj districts. According to the weather center, there is no possibility of any major change in the maximum temperature during the next 24 hours in the state. After this, there is a possibility of a gradual increase of three to five degrees Celsius in the next three to four days,” the Center informed.

A day earlier the Center had informed that there is a possibility of rain in Jharkhand for the next six days. It also informed that there are chances of rain in Jharkhand till June 1. During this period the wind speed can be 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. There is also a possibility of thunderstorm along with thunder. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert regarding this.

The maximum temperature may drop by three to five degrees Celsius in the next two days. After this, there may be an increase of three to five degrees in the next three days. On May 27 also, there may be light to moderate rain with thunderstorms at some places in the north-eastern, central and southern parts of the state. During this period, there is a possibility of strong winds as well as thunderstorms.

The Meteorological Department also informed that there may be light rain with thunderstorms in eastern and central parts of Jharkhand on May 28. The weather department has issued a yellow alert regarding thunderstorms. Light to moderate rain may occur in north-eastern parts on 29th and 30th May and in eastern parts of Jharkhand on May 31 and June 1.
