State greets 2021 with prayers, hope and fun

Hotels, cafés, restaurants, and organisations prepares to host an array of vibrant and thrilling parties which started on Sunday evening and will continue till Monday morning. Several bars and clubs in the state capital have plans to celebrate the advent of 2023 with grand and lavish parties this New Year’s eve.

At Radisson Blu celebration for the Grand Ball Room was with live band performance. Along with a dance floor, guests can have unlimited premium beverages and a lavish buffet. Also at Ranchi Club and Gymkhana Club there was livid celebration for New Year’s Eve.

The new year carnival is going on at Aqua World for past few days, today, on the fourth day of the carnival, there was a lot of programs and competitions. A huge crowd gathered on the last day of the year. A large number of people came and enjoyed the carnival. First of all, a treasure hunt was organized. A large number of people took part in the best mask competition. In 'Zalima' Best Makeup Competition, women performed their makeup brilliantly in 2 minutes. Hundreds of children took part in the chocolate eating competition. This had to be done in several rounds.

A large number of women and girls participated in the Best Saree Competition. Late evening, the children's fashion show was the center of attraction where hundreds of children participated. Famous cardiologist Dr. Neeraj Prasad and Mrs. Bindu Prasad were present as the judges and chief guests of the fashion show.

Today's selfie theme was Selfie with Qutub Minar, where people took selfies while touching the dome of the Qutub Minar picture.

Aqua World has also arranged several programmes for January 1 (Monday). On Monday there will be New Year Resolution Competition, jam show, 'What Jhumka' Best Jhumka Competition, mummy papa fashion show, Jalebi Baby (Jalebi Eating Contest), Chocolate Eating Contest, Joru Ka Ghulam, live music performance, dance fun, Outfit Competition (White Theme), Bumper Lucky Draw (LED) among others.

Also, temples and other places of worship across Ranchi, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur is likely to witness a generous amount of footfall as several residents, as well as people from outside the state, visits locations to offer prayers on the first day of year.

Considering the crowd of devotees on January 1, the path to reach Pahari Baba will be from the right side of the main gate of Pahari Temple. Barricading will be done at various places and the district administration has also been requested to provide security forces from its place so that peace and security is maintained.

Special arrangements would be made to provide better facilities to the devotees coming to the hill temple on January 1 and to control the crowd. Arrangements for Argha will be made so that devotees can offer water to Pahari Baba properly. The entire hill temple will be decorated with beautiful lights.

Also the tourism department has decked up tourist and picnic spots of the state and ensured basic public amenities, security and Prayatak Mitras (tourist friends) at prominent sites for the revellers, 

Toilets and drinking water facilities have been provided at major tourist spots. We have also renovated eating joints in Hundru,” said tourism official.

Tourist and picnic spots in Jharkhand have been decorated to welcome revelers for New Year celebrations.

Jharkhand's falls, lakes, hills, dams, rivers, parks, and sanctuaries draw large number of visitors every year from December 30 to the first week of January for New Year celebrations. In and around Ranchi, the six major waterfalls including Dasam, Hundru, Jonha, Panch Ghag, Sita, and Hirni have already seen an increase in visitors since December 25.
