Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) in collaboration with MP Tourism Board organized a special screening of the film ‘Tikadam’ in the Vanmali Auditorium of the University on Monday.
During this program, the film's director Vivek Anchaliya and actor Amit Sial were present as chief guests. Additional Managing Director (AMD) Bidisha Mukherjee from MP Tourism Board and Chancellor Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajay Bhushan, Registrar Dr. Sitesh Sinha and Pro Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University Aditi Chaturvedi were present on behalf of SGSU.
The welcome address in the program was given by Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi. In his speech, he welcomed all the guests and introduced the university. He said that this is a skill-based university where courses are being conducted in partnership with industries, the aim of which is to provide 60 percent practical and experience-based education to the students and 40 percent class-based learning.
He also informed about the efforts being made by the institute in the field of film production and animation.In this episode, AMD Bidisha Mukherjee of MP Tourism Board informed about the efforts being made by the MP government to promote tourism. He said that a subsidy of up to 1.5 crores is being offered to promote film tourism. Apart from this, separate assistance of up to 75 lakhs is being provided to promote film infrastructure.
He told that there are a lot of possibilities for tourism in MP because there are many options here from wildlife to religious tourism.Talking about the film, Vivek Anchaliya, director of the film Tikdam, said that this is a story written in 2007, the idea of ??making which started in 2018. At that time, it was being named "Papa Ke Joote", then after that it was thought of being named "Gubaare".
But one day suddenly the name "Tikadam" came to mind. It seemed like a perfect name, then it was kept. He further says that this film is based on the issue of climate change and migration.Actor Amit Sial, who has worked in prestigious films and webseries like Mirzapur, Maharani and Wasseypur, said in his statement that This film was a unique project. That is why when I heard its pitch deck, I agreed to do the film in just 10 minutes. It is very important to be associated with such a film. Along with drama, the film also talks about issues like global warming. The life of migrant laborers has also been shown in the film with a very beautiful angle. Overall, it is a family entertainer film. He further said that the audience will get to see my new character in this film. I was waiting for such a film for a long time because it is a completely different kind of film. I also wanted to do such a character.
On the question of family films not being commercially successful, Amit Sial said that the work in the industry is done as the audience wants. If people like family films, they should encourage others to do so. Only then will more such films start being made. Otherwise, films with violence and abuse will dominate.
