Six persons including three women were injured after an auto rickshaw overturned in the afternoon on the road from Shahjahanabad police station to Bhopal Talkies on Thursday.
At the time of the accident, the auto was carrying three women and two men including the driver. The driver had carelessly tried to overtake the bus with the auto.
Meanwhile, the speeding auto overturned after colliding with the bus. The driver along with all the passengers were seriously injured in the incident.
The driver, who was stuck between the handle and seat of the auto, was pulled out by passersby after about half an hour of hard work. The police are investigating the accident.
SHO of Shahjahanabad police station UPS Chauhan said that a green auto was trying to overtake a bus of Chauhan Travels in front of Bada Bagh cemetery on the road from the police station to Bhopal Talkies. Then the speeding auto overturned after colliding with the bus. There were 6 people in the auto including the driver. All of them have been injured. With the help of passersby, the injured were taken out of the auto and taken to the hospital.
At the time of the accident, Geeta Bai (40), Balram Sen (50), Farhan Khan (29) all three residents of Foota Maqbara Chhola along with Mahnaz Khan and Lakshmi Bai (25) both residents of Arif Nagar were travelling in the auto. While the auto driver Aman Khan resident of Bagh Umrao Dulha is seriously injured. He was stuck in the auto for about half an hour. He has injuries on his face, legs, hands and head.
After the accident, there was a jam situation on the road coming from Shahjahanabad to Bhopal Talkies. People stopped the bus assuming it to be the negligence of the bus.
However, after getting the information, the police reached the spot and arranged the traffic by parking the bus and auto on the side.
