A career counselling session was organised for class 12 students in the Vanmali Auditorium of SGSU University on Friday under the joint aegis of Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) and IBM.
On this occasion, Hari Rama Subramaniam of IBM was the chief guest at the function, while Mr. Dhawal Shah, founder of Data Gami Services, Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University, Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi, Pro Chancellor of Rabindra Nath Tagore University, Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi, Vice Chancellor of SGSU Ajay Bhushan and Registrar Dr. Sitesh Kumar Sinha were present as special guests. During this program, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between SGSU and IBM. Also, B.Tech (AI/ML) and B.Tech (Data Science) courses were launched.Addressing the students at the function, the chief speaker Shri Hari Rama Subramaniam said that the importance of skills has increased for the future. Today in our country, there is a skill gap between students and institutes, which will be filled only through skill-based education. Talking about the method of education in foreign countries, there is more emphasis on practical knowledge than theory.
Through this program, students will get an opportunity to work with the world network in more than 124 countries, in which they will be provided with practical and machine learning opportunities with industry experts, which will lead to 70 percent practical study.
Here, emphasis is being laid on making students industry ready through projects, internship integrated programs.Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University, said that we are providing this program for students so that their skills can be upgraded and they can get job opportunities in which they can participate in field work, internship, webinar online classes, projects and also give their feedback. He further said that apart from data science, engineering, projects, integrated programs will also be introduced in arts, fine arts, commerce.
